Senior affordable housing underway at 18330 NW 12th Ave. in Miami Gardens

SG Holdings, New Urban Development, and ANF have broken ground on Serenity Gardens, a new senior affordable development in the City of Miami Gardens.

The project, which is located on city-leased land at 18330 NW 12th Avenue, will consist of an eight-story complex featuring 153 studio, one-, and two-bedroom homes, as well as amenities such as a multipurpose room, a fitness center, and a swimming pool. The development will also include a leasing office for staff, parking, and a stormwater retention pond.

“We are excited to partner with New Urban Development & SG Holdings and the entire Serenity Gardens team on a project that will make a meaningful difference for seniors in Miami Gardens,” said ANF chief executive officer Al Fernandez. “Together, we are helping bring much-needed affordable housing to life and creating a high-quality community that will deliver lasting value for residents and the broader Miami Gardens community.”

ANF is the construction manager for the project, while Modis Architects is the architect of record. Bermello Ajamil & Partners is the project's civil engineer. 

Completion of Serenity Gardens is expected in 2028.
